A bit more about me!

Hi, My name is Malgorzata, or Gosia for short. I live in Co.Louth for the past 20+ years.

My crochet journey began very early — I was only about five years old.

I come from a very artistic family, where handmade crafts were always a natural part of everyday life.

I remember my mum crocheting, and I desperately wanted to do the same.

To keep me busy and satisfy my curiosity, she taught me how to make my very first crochet chain.

My Story begins...

I am left-handed, but my mum only crocheted with her right hand — so she taught me exactly the way she knew. And that’s how it stayed: even though I’m left-handed, I crochet with my right hand to this day.

I learned quickly — so quickly, in fact, that endless chains started appearing all around the house. When I wasn’t looking, my mum would quietly unravel them so I could start all over again.

Those were my very first crochet memories — full of joy, patience and playfulness. As a teenager, I returned to crochet from time to time, mostly during quiet winter evenings.

I made scarves, small items and little clothes for dolls. However, I truly came back to crochet about three years ago, during a very difficult period of my life.

Living in Ireland, far away from my family in Poland, I was dealing with a lot of stress and emotions. Working in a hospital meant I couldn’t simply switch off from difficult realities. Long Irish evenings felt especially heavy. One day, I noticed a woman crocheting in a hospital corridor — and suddenly I thought: I can do that too.

The very next day, I bought yarn, hooks and started creating. Very quickly, crochet became deeply calming for me.

It helped me relax, clear my mind and find joy again. Ideas kept flowing — every time I saw a new yarn, I already knew what it wanted to become.

I started making children’s clothes, bags and home decorations. I created more and more, purely out of love and passion.

Eventually, there were so many handmade pieces that my husband jokingly said we had to do something about it.

It started with gifts, then small sales at local markets — and eventually, my brand was born. My business grew naturally from passion, creativity and a genuine love for handmade work.

Today, I have wonderful returning customers, take part in events and markets, and my greatest joy comes from seeing people come back for another piece in a different colour, sending photos, or sharing kind feedback!

My health doesn’t always allow me to work for long hours in one position, so I create at my own pace — listening to my body and respecting my limits. Crochet is not only my passion, but also something that brings me calm and balance.

I rarely work on custom orders. I feel most comfortable when the idea is born in my own mind and slowly becomes something tangible. I love that moment when imagination turns into a finished piece.

Every item I create is made with great attention to detail and from high-quality materials. It’s important to me that my pieces are not disposable, but lasting, meaningful and created with heart — pieces that can stay with their owners for a long time.

What started as a hobby has grown into a small business that brings me enormous satisfaction. The most rewarding part is seeing people wear and use my creations — knowing that my ideas have become part of someone’s everyday life.
